We
make a joyful noise unto the Lord!
With our voices
The Senior Choir
The dedicated members of the
Senior Choir offer their weekly anthems and offertories as well as
special music for special occasions. Special Lenten has been pieces such as
John Rutter's hymn settings and an interesting mix of Duke Ellington, Dan Welcher (excerpts from "JKF, The Voice of
Peace"), and a spiritual. Vivaldi's "Gloria" was a more
traditional Christmas Masterwork. The Senior
Choir is directed by Martha Sutter. Pat Doherty plays the organ, piano, and
harpsichord. Soloists are Sheila Murphy (Soprano), Roxanne
Sopchak
(Alto), and Eric Nilsson (Tenor). It rehearses on Thursday evenings from Masterworks
and other special music
Besides our usual musical offering,
we have special musical events such as the annual Masterworks. Some of the
works we have performed in the past include:

No matter what your skill, age,
or instrument, you're invited to make music with our
UUMC "No Fault" Orchestra, directed by members Danny
Magowan and Steve Bacon.
We have a variety of instruments:
violins, violas, celli, flutes, clarinets, oboe, horns, trumpet, trombones,
tuba, piano, percussion, and harp. Our orchestra includes music teachers,
young students just beginning their instruments, and everyone in between. We
also welcome people from the community who would like to join us in making
music together.

We have five octaves of bells and
three octaves of handchimes. We play a variety of
music, including some original compositions by our director! We welcome
anyone, including young people, regardless of previous musical experience!
Our Handbell Choir is directed by Danny Magowan. We rehearse on Thursday evenings from
6:20 to 7:30.
