Humanitarian and disaster relief agency, Church World Service (CWS), has issued an urgent appeal for flood relief kits (clean-up buckets) to assist with clean up efforts following late-June flooding in the Northeast USA, including 12 counties in New York State.

The clean-up buckets – five-gallon pails filled with cleaning supplies – are invaluable to residents as they return to begin the long process of cleaning out their flooded homes and businesses.

Individuals, churches, businesses, and groups are urged to assemble clean-up buckets and drop them off by Tuesday, July 25, 2006.
