The Chancel Choir provides musical leadership and special music each Sunday during the 10:30am worship service from September through June. Rehearsals are held Thursday evenings and there is a warm-up period each Sunday morning before the service. The Chancel Choir provides anthems for special worship services. The Choir's repertoire is varied, using classical, liturgical and spiritual music. All adult members of our congregation and high school students are encouraged to participate in this meaningful music ministry of Union Village Church.
The Chancel Bell Choir is a group of people who enjoy performing sacred music through the art of hand bell ringing. Some members of the Bell Choir come from musical backgrounds, while others learn the skill with little musical training. The Bell Choir performs anthems for our worship services several times during the year and sometimes in combination with Chancel Choir. When appropriate, one or two members of the Bell Choir play ostinato or descant parts with hymns. Adults and high school students are encouraged to join in making joyous sounds to the Lord in this wonderful and unique manner. Rehearsals are held Thursday evenings from September through June.
Our time of "Praise and Worship" is every Sunday before the start of the 10:30am worship service. The Praise Team currently includes a guitar, bass, and piano. This team leads us in learning some new praise music as well as singing familiar favorites. There is room for more instrumentalists to join the Praise Team. Rehearsals are held Thursday evening. If you play an instrument, don't hide your light! There are many ways in which you can participate in worship and Union Village Church would love to include you.
