grandson of Rev. Robert Card, former Union Chapel pastor -- has been serving in
Iraq with the Marine Corps. Josh suffered multiple, severe injuries after
being hit by a rocket-propelled grenade. He has a broken left arm, severely
damaged right arm, shrapnel in his body, third-degree burns on both legs, and
some of the toes on his right foot were amputated. It was expected Josh would
be returning to the U.S. on Monday. (4.29.07)

Mary Ellen Walters and Ada Wasson: Rev. Walters, retired and living at Otterbein-Lebanon,
and Ada Wasson, also a resident of Otterbein-Lebanon and a long-time member of

Svec): Nicholas, 16, is back in the hospital in St.
Louis. He has been throwing up since Wednesday and is
in a lot of pain. This young man has
been suffering from this illness since last August, and recently had
surgery. Brenda Svec
writes: “We were so pleased it seemed the procedure had worked. He went to
school one day this week and the pain began again. We know there is
something for us to learn from all of this but are not sure what that is
