Greetings and welcome to our church home page on the Internet! Here at Union Chapel, we are continuing a Spiritual Odyssey as disciples of the Living God. We seek to follow Jesus Christ who, in a changing world, is the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb. 13:8).

I have had a sense for some time now that God is doing a new thing here at Union Chapel, and I find it exciting! If we let the Holy Spirit lead us, there is no telling what kind of future God may have in mind for our shared ministry as His people.

Our primary purpose for being here is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those who are out there, dying for a cup of Living Water. As our Choir sang not long ago, "Jesus IS the answer -- for the world today." We must carry that message beyond these walls, and that is part of the reason we launched this web site.

Our congregation's theology is conservative and evangelical, with a central focus on drawing people into new life in Jesus Christ. A number of our church groups have a missionary thrust, seeking to proclaim the Gospel in actions as well as words. Our doors are open to all, and most visitors describe our congregation as "warm" -- and not just because we have a good heating system. Our members are Spirit-filled people eager to serve God in many ways -- and with glad hearts.

Though our congregation is an aging one, we are beginning to see a greater presence of younger adults and children on a regular basis. As pastor, I can truly say hearing the sounds of several babies during our times of worship is "music to my ears."

Our top priority this year and every year needs to be our personal relationship with Jesus Christ -- because everything else depends on that. Let's invite Jesus to rule in our hearts each and every day, that we might be truly alive all the days of our lives.
