Cemetery: The first burial in the Union Church Cemetery was that of a little slave girl belonging to Mrs. Draper (1846). Mrs. Draper soon followed the girl in 1847.

In the 1960s, Royce Kershaw spent a goodly sum of money having the church cemetery beautified. He helped the church people raise funds for perpetual care of the cemetery.
