North Central Jurisdiction
The North Central Jurisdiction consists of 9 states and 11 Conferences: Dakotas, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Northern Illinois, Illinois Great Rivers, West Michigan, Detroit, East Ohio, West Ohio and Indiana. There are 9 United Methodist Women who serve on the Jurisdiction Leadership Team and 1 staff advisor from Women's Division. 2012 is the year for the Jurisdictional Quadrennial Meeting.
Our goals for the quadrennial event include: being open to all members of United Methodist Women; electing directors to the Women's Division (nominated by each Conference); electing the Jurisdiction Leadership Team and the Jurisdiction Committee on Nominations; educating for mission; providing skill building and most importantly: celebrating our PURPOSE!
Election of officers is sometimes seen as the primary focus of this meeting, but many other events are being planned. Drake University in Des Moines IA is the site of the meeting and the dates are June 19-20, 2012. The theme for 2012 is "Fill MyCup, Lord."
