5-Star Units
is the Newsletter of the Kansas West Conference Our goal for 2009 is to have at least 80% of the local units in the Kansas West Conference be a "5-Star" unit. The unit must contribute to each of the five channels for Undesignated Giving through their District Treasurer. Those channels are:

Pledge to Mission the annual pledge is made to the district. This pledge is given at the annual district meeting in the fall. |

Special Mission Recognition a way the local unit may honor a person, man or woman, for outstanding service to the unit. Pins and certificates are available through the district treasurer to present to the honoree at the cost beginning at $35.00 |

Gift to Missions the way to recognize someone, a thank you note, a note of congratulations, the birth of a baby, any way you choose. Cards costing $5.00 are available through your local treasurer. |

Gift in Memory a gift through United Methodist Women honoring the memory of someone who has passed away. A memorial of at least $5.00 is sent to the district treasurer. |

World Thank Offering an opportunity for individuals to share a portion of God's blessings with others. Each person during the year places her "love gifts" in a special World Thank Offering box or other suitable container. |
