2004 CORPUS CHRISTI DISTRICT UMW GOALS 1. Meet our Pledge to Mission of $36,200 (Treasurer) 2. Local units to create a Special Recognition Award for teens and young women in United Methodist Women. (Membership) 3. Intentionally communicate with Pastors and staff regarding UMW activities. (President) 4. Focus LUV Team Visits on inviting and nurturing members. (Membership) 5. Increase the participation in the Reading Program at all levels. (Program Resources) 6. Increase the number of 5 Star Units to 80%. (Treasurer, Spiritual Growth & Education & Interpretation) 7. Emphasize Charter Club Requirements in local units working toward a goal of 50% of the Units as a Charter Club Unit. (Social Action) 8. Encourage 50% of units to have a UMW Sunday. (Spiritual Growth) 9. Emphasize "Mission Today" Requirements in local units working toward a goal of 50% of the Units as a Mission Today Unit and at least three units achieving Gold Status. (Education & Interpretation) 10. Increase attendance at Schools of Christian Mission to 40 participants. (Education & Interpretation) 11. District to organize a District-wide Young Women's Unit.
