Wesley Foundation Activities!

For information on church closings due to inclement weather, visit UUMC's webpage

During the semester, the Wesley Foundation worships on Sundays at UUMC (see map). There are worship services at 8:30 am, 11 am, and 5:30 pm. There are also adult Sunday school classes at 9:30 am. Once a month, there will be a program called "The Power of 'We'" following the 11 am service and coffee hour. This will be a gathering of both UUMC and Wesley Foundation members to discuss issues in the world and theology. Some example topics are on the recent mission trip to South Africa, becoming environmentally conscious and how to "go green," and types of alternative giving for the holidays. Occasionally, there will also be a program called "Praying Outside the Lines" following the 5:30 pm service and dinner. Praying Outside the Lines is led by Rev. Kim Capps and is a way to explore your faith and relationship with God through a variety of creative media. See the calendar for more information about program dates and times.

The Wesley Foundation is a Reconciling Ministry
The United Methodist Campus Ministry (aka "The Wesley Foundation") at the University of Maryland, College Park, affirms Christ's call to engage in ministries that bring reconciliation and wholeness to all persons. Our hearts, minds, and doors are always open to individuals of all races, nationalities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and theological identities. We strive to be a community of spiritual growth that reflects compassion towards all God's children, engaging in prophetic and pastoral outreach to Church and society.
