The
Food Pantry at the United Methodist
Church of Worth has been helping people
in this and surrounding communities
for over 30 years. We are able to help
the 160+ families that come each week
for food assistance because of donations
of non-perishable food items, as well
as monetary donations which are made
by area churches, businesses and individuals.
Currently we are open every Tuesday from
9 to 11 am and 4 to 6 pm. Clients who come
to the food pantry may receive a combination
of meat, fresh foods, dairy products, bread
and dried and canned foods twice a month.
Our team of dedicated volunteers help to
unload food that is ordered and purchased
from the Greater Chicago Food Depository
and from food collections at schools, businesses
and events in the area, as well as assisting
clients when they come to our client choice
pantry.

to this food pantry, please send your
check made payable to The United Methodist
Church of Worth (with food pantry in

If you would like to donate food items, we are always in need of non-perishable
items such as cereal, macaroni and cheese mixes (as well as other pasta and potato
boxed mixes), ramen noodle packages, soup (dried or canned), cake mixes and vegetables.
In the summer months we also ask for any excess from your gardens for our clients.
These items can be delivered to our pantry on Tuesdays during the open hours
mentioned above. If you are a business/school with a large amount of food that
needs to be picked up, please call the church at 708-448-6682 and we will get
back to you to make those arrangements.
