CHANCEL CHOIR - - The Chancel
Choir is the core of our music programs. They present anthems, introits, and
responses every Sunday for our 9:30 worship service. This choral group is
directed by Connie Webber and is made up of men and women of the church who
enjoy singing. They rehearse Wednesdays from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. and present two
full-length cantatas each year at Advent/Christmas time and during the
Lenten/Easter season.
BELL CHOIR - - "The
Jubilant Ringers" is also directed by Connie Webber and is made up of
eleven dedicated teen and adult handbell ringers. The bells add color and
sparkle to our church services from September through May, often enhancing
choral anthems and hymns as well as playing their own special anthems.
They have performed guest appearances at The Oaks Retirement Center, St. Mary's
Catholic Church, The Wakefield Care Center, Fantasy Forest, and each January
participate in the annual Siouxland-area "Twelfth-Night" Bell
Festival. They rehearse Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
FRIENDS IN FAITH - - This
group of singing friends (grades 5-8) is directed by Gretchen Legler and
rehearses Sunday mornings as part of the Sunday School hour. They enjoy
upbeat, contemporary Christian music and sing once a month for Sunday worship.
KING'S KIDS - - Children
in grades 1-4 make up the King's singing Kids. They are directed by Monica
Jensen and rehearse on Wednesdays after school from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. They also
sing once a month during worship and enjoy singing, food, fellowship and fun.
Our church's music program also includes several
special groups that sing occasionally for worship services:
CHERUB CHOIR - - Kathy
Mitchell directs this group of pre-school and kindergarten students who also
practice during their Sunday School time on Sunday mornings.
