In the last year The United Methodist Church through its budget and through its Outreach Committee has supported the following organizations and programs:

  • SHIP (Summit Helping Its People)
  • Homefirst
  • The Interfaith Council for the Homeless of Union County
  • CAUSE (Christian Approach to Urban Suburban Encounter): in Jersey City
  • The United Methodist Homes

Three times each year, as part of the IHN (“Interfaith Hospitality Network”), we host several families of homeless people for a week, assisted by our support congregation from St. Teresa's of Avila Roman Catholic Church. Throughout the year, special ministries and opportunities surface. For example, most recently, our Youth have supported the “Nothing But Nets” campaign for nets to combat malaria in Africa, and have enabled us to support a school in Uganda with school supplies.
