Missions UPDATE:

WHERE IS GRACE  IN THE WORLD?
Members of Grace Church are in mission!  In recent month they have served in China, Mexico, Kentucky, and in South Louisiana.  In Mexico they built a cinder-block home for a family that had been living in a shack made of cardboard and plywood.  In China they ministered in a mobile medical clinic.  In Kentucky they engaged in home repair in the poorest section of Appalachia, and made repairs in the mission school.  In South Louisiana three different teams cleaned and repaired homes damaged by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.  Another team worked at the United Methodist Committee on Relief Depot assembling flood buckets and health kits that will be sent all over the world.  Most recently a team of nine members served from Friday through Saturday at Swanson Youth Center (formerly LTI) in Monroe with Epiphany Ministry offering a spiritual life retreat to youth incarcerated there.

Soup labels help to purchase vehicles
See what our soup labels can do! In this recent update from Red Bird Mission, we received good news: “Since 1989, Red Bird Mission has acquired 14 full size vans and two minivans through the Campbell Label Program. All of the vehicles are still in operation helping in ministry. Enough labels have been collected to order two more minivans in 2002.” So keep those labels coming — the collection box is by the door in the education wing.
