In January 1990, CATS, a Wednesday children's program debuted.  The February covered dish supper featured a gospel concert by the Benton family from Iowa.  Mrs. Norma Winegeart brought the message on UMW Sunday.  The Contemporary Christian Class held a Crawfish Boil.  The Easter Cantata was "Alive."  The children opened the service with a palm processional.  In April 1990, a church conference was held to discuss selling the parsonage at 1200 Dubach and building a new one on the north side of town.  Rev. H. T. Maclin, president of the Mission Society for United Methodists organization, spoke at the morning service in May.  Sarah Beth Atkins began her duties as church secretary in June.

In July 1990, the youth from Bexley UMC, Columbus, Ohio, presented the musical "The Light Brigade" at the morning service.  Members and guests enjoyed a round of TV games, Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud, and Jeopardy at the family night supper.  Children's summer activities included VBS, a fun day at Trinity UMC gym, and a backyard water party at the McKinney's.

In September 1990, Rev. Larry Miller and 22 class members began the Disciple Bible Study.  Rev. Charles Pinkston, Superintendent at Red Bird Missions, presented a program about his work.  Mack and Shayla Blake presented a program of Christian music at the family night supper.  Austin and Mary Boggan, MSUM missionaries to Paraguay, spoke about their work at a morning service.  The "Grace Notes" sang at Longleaf Nursing Home each third Wednesday.  A highlight of the fall was the Minister's We Care Mission.  Twelve ministers came and shared with us in the three day session.  The church celebrated its 40th anniversary at the morning service with Rev. Doug McGuire preaching, recognition of our charter members, and dinner on the grounds.

The mission emphasis during Advent was a Red Bird Mission Tree.  Over $600 was raised for the project.  The Choir presented the Cantata "Wondrous Gift."  There were a lot of cats and mice running around the church as the children presented the musical drama "Not a Creature was Stirring."  The year ended with the Candlelight and Communion service and a New Year's Eve "Watch Night" service.
