The Wesley Deputation team lead a morning service in January 1972.  Boy Scout Sunday was observed in February.  On 13th February 1972, a 50th anniversary celebration was held to honour Mr. and Mrs. Claude Ruple.  Their son-in-law, Dr. Franklin Perkins, was guest organist at the morning service.

March 1972 was designated SRO (standing room only) attendance month.  The campaign started with a family night supper on 3rd March.  The Stewardship Committee organized the "Grace Family Plan' in which 35 families agreed to be responsible for 5 church families each.  The plan would allow the church to be aware of needs and concerns within the church family immediately.

Girl Scout Sunday was held on 12th March.  Special guests were Troops 431, 454, and their leaders.  The following Sunday, the Chancel Choir presented the Easter Cantata "No Greater Love."  The month ended with the annual chicken spaghetti supper.  The proceeds, $265, were used for various youth activities.

The family of Mrs. Doris Hendrickson presented a Silver Service to the church in her memory to be used for weddings and special occasions.

The Concert Choir of the Pensacola Junior College presented a concert on 7th April 1972.

The Grace Summer Youth Director, Mary Frances Riggin, was introduced at the MYF ice cream social.  Profits from the event were used to send the youth to Explo 72 in Dallas.  The "Today's Disciples" youth singing group from Trinity UMC presented the evening service on 25th June 1972.  The Grace and Trinity UMC youth groups joined forces for Youth Activities Week in July.

Grace members joined with Wesley Chapel for revival services in July 1972.  Rev. Rod Taylor was guest evangelist.  A youth-led revival was held at Grace in August 1972.  A prayer vigil marked the beginning of revival services at Grace in October 1972.  Rev. George Ivey lead the meetings, and Mike Mooney led the singing.

The Chancel Choir presented the Christmas Cantata, "Born a King" on 10th December.  A church-wide family night was held on 17th December, and a candlelight service was held on Christmas Eve.  The year closed with a New Year Eve Watch Night Service.  The youth led a midnight Communion Service.
