In February, 1957, the methodist Men announced that they would provide two scholarships to Caney Lake summer camp.

Ground breaking ceremonies for the new sanctuary were held on 3rd March, 1957.  The new building would have a seating capacity of 385 and include three new classrooms.  The building would cost $81,000.  Chicken spaghetti, church dinners, fair booths, and the generosity of the members continued to help fund the new building.

The church budget for the year 1957 was $16,108.

During the month of August, 1957, Grace and Trinity joined forces for the evening services.  The combined services were held at the Tech Wesley Foundation.

Ruby Nell and Hal Barker left in August, 1957, for Auburn University.  The new choir director was Mr. A. E. Tellinghuisen.

Formal opening of the new sanctuary was held on 13th October, 1957.

Pam Pierce was among the first group of babies baptized in the new sanctuary.

Buddy McFadden was elected president of the Grace Methodist Youth Fellowship.

At its seventh birthday, Grace Church had grown to a membership of 378.
