Grace in 1952

   During 1952, two spaghetti suppers were held ot raise money for the building fund.

The Nettie White Circle met in the home of Mrs. Jimmie Aycock.

Among the infants and children baptized during the Easter season were Vickie McGuire and Libba Lay.

During 1952, the church arranged a transfer of land for the new building.  The lot on the corner of Tech Drive and Dubach Street was swapped for the lot across the street, on the corner of Tech Drive and Highway 80.

The Grace congregation met on 19th August, 1952, to approve the plans for a fellowship hall, the initial phase of the building project.

On 21st through 26th September, Grace Church held a Brush Arbor meeting on the church property.  You could get a ride to the meeting by calling Baker's Store, the phone number was 802.

Among the people who joined Grace Church in 1952 was Miss Ruby Nell Causey, who would marry Dr. Hal Barker on 3rd October of 1952.
