In Service to Others
The United Methodist Church of Auburn is
committed to it's mission to embody Christ's love through service to others in
our local and global communities, by helping to meet spiritual, emotional
and/or physical needs. In addition to our missions program, we
support/sponsor many local programs and organizations.
Nursing Home Ministries: Conduct worship services to several nursing homes
in our community.
Food Pantry: Supply food and volunteers on a weekly basis to the
local food pantry, which provides food to local families in need on an
emergency basis.
Trinity Soup Kitchen: Supply volunteers to serve meals, help with
set up and clean up.
Youth Mission Trips: A mission trip for youth is offered every
summer. Past Youth Mission Teams have gone to Puerto Rico, western New
York state; York, Pennsylvania: and this year's team will go to Denver, CO from
June 21st to June 28th. Youth mission trips are open to youth
in grades 7-12.
Rotary Club Breakfast: Prepare and serve breakfast to the local Rotary
Club. The breakfast is served every Wednesday morning.
Sr. Citizen Luncheon: Prepare and serve lunch as well as provide
entertainment to the Sr. Citizens of our community. This luncheon is held
the third Tuesday of every month.
