Spiritual Growth
Coffee Fellowship: This is a time reserved every Sunday following the
worship service to support fellowship among our members and guests.
United Methodist Women (UMW): Membership is open to any woman who contributes to
the fulfillment of the Purpose by participating in any of our programs.
Participation may include mission projects, attending retreats, providing
support and fellowship for members of the church, holding office and attending
Circle meetings.
Ruth and Naomi Circles: Circles are small groups who meet regularly for
the purpose of sharing support and fellowship with a close "circle"
of friends and to provide resources for the larger UMW organization. The
circles support programs such as the Giving Tree, Christmas gifts for those in
need, Food Cupboard, The Church Fall Fair, filling boxes for 1st year college
students, prayer chain, and many more activities including speakers, banquets,
auctions, etc.
Men's Fellowship: Our Men's Fellowship meets for breakfast and
fellowship the first Saturday of each month.
Senior Citizens Luncheons: A luncheon and program held on the third Tuesday of
each month with the program at 11:30 and the meal at 12:15pm. There is a charge for the meal and a reservation
must be made in advance by calling 782-3972.
Ecumenical Youth Group: The youth of the UMC of Auburn join with the youth
of the High Street and West Auburn Congregational Churches on the second and
fourth Sundays of each month. The meetings go from 6-7:30pm and alternate
meeting places.
Bible Study: Study groups that come together to gain a greater
understanding of the bible, one book at a time.
We have a regular Thursday morning bible study group and occasionally groups that meet in the evening as well.
Adult Sunday School Class: Offered most Sunday mornings from 9:00am -
9:45am. The class explores many biblical and theological questions as
they relate to our Christian faith.
Camp Mechuwana: Located on 200 wooded acres and surrounded by over
2,000 more acres of forest and lakes. It is open all year and in addition
to our own programs, is open to other churches and groups for their own
programs. It is the purpose of Camp Mechuwana to complement the local church
ministry by providing a unique Christian setting for persons of all ages for
personal growth and experiences which enhance one's relationship to God,
neighbors, and the natural world.
Vacation Bible School: This is an Ecumenical Bible School, with
participation from local Catholic, Lutheran and Congregational churches.
The program consists of music, stories, crafts, games and fellowship.
Vacation Bible School is open for children ages 4 years to 4th grade. It
is held each summer the first full week of August.
