Sunday School and other classes
Classes are scheduled throughout the year for adults & children, new members, and for confirmation. Check the Beacon for the latest offerings.
Every Sunday, the children come into church with their parents; please feel free to select the age appropriate Children’s Worship Bulletin, available as you enter the sanctuary. The bulletins center on a theme of the day’s worship service. After the Moments with the Children, they will go out for their Sunday School classes.
Vacation Bible School
We are inviting everyone to be part of the excitement at our Vacation Bible School this summer! Opportunities are available for children, buddies, and adult volunteers, and donations are needed as well! Here is the save-the-date information that you should keep or pass along:
When: August 2-6, 2010, 8:30 am–12 noon
Location: United Methodist Church of Auburn, 439 Park Avenue, Auburn, Maine
Ages: 4 years old to those having completed the 4th grade
Service Squad: youth in grades 5 through 8
Buddies: youth in grades 9 through 12
Are you interested in participating in this important ministry? Our VBS team will meet monthly leading up to the week of VBS. Please contact Kary Coffin or the Education Committee if you can help out!
The Auburn Preschool
The United Methodist Church of Auburn is pleased to offer a new ministry, our own pre-school. The Auburn Preschool year begins the week after Labor Day in early September, runs through the month of May, and follows the same calendar as the Auburn Public Schools.
2 year olds: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8:30 am–11:00 am
3 year olds: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8:30 am–11:30 am
4 year olds: Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays, 8:30 am–11:30 am
There are four preschool teachers: Kathy Sirois (lead teacher), Louise Nunn, Maureen Goode, and Julie Farnsworth. The preschool and its program fall under the Christian Education program of the Church. Call 782-4329 or email office@auburnmethodist.org for more information.
