umw_logo.gif (16256 bytes)The United Methodist Women is a Service organization that connects women in various United Methodist churches across the country. Women of the UMW work together to serve their community and world neighbors, with special interest in the needs of women, children, and youth by providing assistance and relief to areas affected by war, disaster, and poverty.
The UMW of Court Street consists of 5 circles that meet on a monthly or bi-monthly basis. These circles provide a time of fellowship, spiritual encouragement, and prayerful support for their members. Women of the Court Street UMW participate in fund raises, service projects, and other activities consistent with the purpose of the national United Methodist Women.

United Methodist Women News

* Margaret Knight is again collecting health kits for Flint students in the elementary schools. These help them get off to a healthy start so give your finished kits or miscellaneous items to her on Sunday morning in the parlor. Each kit contains a hand towel, wash cloth, wrapped bar of soap, toothbrush and paste, comb, 6 bandaids, and nail clipper.

* We are still collecting Campbell’s Soup Labels, so keep them coming in. There is a basket for them next to the VG’s basket under the Giving Tree in the large parlor.
