Women of the UMW work together to serve their community and world neighbors, with special interest in the needs of women, children, and youth by providing assistance and relief to areas affected by war, disaster, and poverty.
     The UMW of Court Street consists of 5 circles that meet on a monthly or bi-monthly basis. These circles provide a time of fellowship, spiritual encouragement, and prayerful support for their members. Women of the Court Street UMW participate in fund raises, service projects, and other activities consistent with the purpose of the national United Methodist Women.

Lavender Luncheon

The United Methodist Women recently held their Lavender Luncheon. Dorothea Leffel, who turned 75 this year was honored with a special gift to missions. Marge Stuvel received the same honor for designing and making a UMW banner for our unit. We will proudly display it at our gatherings. Lastly, Charley Mueller and Clarence Knight also were honored by gifts to missions for the volunteer work they have done for our group. We had 21 members who were recognized for being 50 year members of Methodist women’s organizations. They are:
