UNISON PRAYER  “O loving Father, You are the true sun of the world, ever rising, and never going down, who by Your most wholesome appearing and light does nourish and make joyful all things in heaven and in earth:  We pray that you will mercifully shine into our hearts, that the night and darkness of sin and the mists of error on every side may be driven away, and that all our life long we may walk without stumbling as children of the light and the day.  Gracious Father, as we gather in worship may we focus more fully on Your presence.  Help us to listen to Your Spirit so we too can hear Your gracious words of welcome, “Come, follow Me, the Kingdom of God is near.” Open our hearts and enliven our faith that we might follow You in our worship and witness now and every day this week.  In Jesus’ strong and tender name who has taught us to pray:”

THE LORD’S PRAYER

SHARING IN CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP: “And Peter opened his mouth and said: "Truly I perceive that God shows no partiality,  but in every nation any one who fears Him and does what is right is acceptable to Him.   You know the word which He sent to Israel, preaching good news of peace by Jesus Christ (He is Lord of all),  the word which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism which John preached:  how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power; how He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”                                                                                     ACTS 10:34-48 RSV

LEADER:  Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings,
ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
PEOPLE:   Ascribe to the LORD the glory of His name;
worship the LORD in holy array.
LEADER:  The voice of the LORD is upon the waters;
the God of glory thunders, the LORD, upon many waters.
PEOPLE:  The voice of the LORD is powerful, the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.
LEADER:  The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars, the LORD breaks the cedars of Lebanon.
PEOPLE:  He makes
Lebanon to skip like a calf, and Si'rion like a young wild ox.

LEADER:   The voice of the LORD flashes forth flames of fire.
PEOPLE:   The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness, the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
LEADER:  The voice of the LORD makes the oaks to whirl, and strips the forests bare; and in His temple all cry, "Glory!"
PEOPLE:   The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD sits enthroned as King for ever.
LEADER:   May the LORD give strength to His people! May the LORD bless His people with peace!

UNISON PRAYER: O loving Father, You are the true sun of the world, ever rising, and never going down, who by Your most wholesome appearing and light does nourish and make joyful all things in heaven and in earth:  We pray that you will mercifully shine into our hearts, that the night and darkness of sin and the mists of error on every side may be driven away, and that all our life long we may walk without stumbling as children of the light and the day.

PRAYER VERSE:  And we are witnesses to all that He did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They put Him to death by hanging Him on a tree; ] but God raised Him on the third day and made Him manifest; not to all the people but to us who were chosen by God as witnesses, who ate and drank with Him after He rose from the dead.  And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that He is the one ordained by God to be judge of the living and the dead.”                                                                                            ACTS 10:39-42 RSV
