Missions Report
- November 14, 2006
Thank you Church! What a great response we had on Sunday to our Missions
Emphasis! We heard from our guest missionaries, Billy and Jenny Fuller, how
the gospel is changing the hearts and lifestyle of the Maasi people of Kenya,
Africa. We heard from David Creel how the gospel is being radio broadcast in
many languages into over 22 countries into Southeast Asia, China and Russia
from the island of Saipan in the South Pacific. We heard from our guest
speaker, Rev. Clark Pope, Why I (WE) Believe in Missions; because:
1) we are supposed to (The Great Commission, Mt. 28:18-20); 2) we see
a large need; and 3) we want to give from a changed heart. We heard from our
pastor, Mike Pope, about our tradition of Faith Promise giving by trusting
God for a sum of money during the year that is not a part of our tithes and
regular giving...
If you want to give to the missions of our church and have not turned in your
Faith Promise Commitment card, please do so in the next couple of weeks. By
faith, the Mission Commission prepares its annual budget based on your Faith
Promise and distributes the revenue on a monthly basis. The Vision of the
Church is limited only by the Vision of its people because we cannot out
give God - Jim and Pat Maddox, Mission Co-chairs
