Youth Worship Service
Guest Speaker - Darrin English
- June 1, 2008

Guest Speaker Darrin English
Darrin English was the guest speaker during the Youth Worship Service Sunday evening, June 1, in the Family Life Center. Darrin spoke at the Youth Revival, March 11, and did a fantastic job. Using the theme "Building Altars" as his message, Darrin spoke how we can serve God anywhere - at a busy intersection, parking lot - by looking at what He has done in our lives. Darrin will be speaking at the Laguna Beach Youth Retreat in Panama City, Florida, later this month.

Drama Team
Before Darrin's sermon, the Youth Drama Team performed a skit about how we picture Jesus. Do we see Him as we see ourselves or do we see Him as our Savior who died for our sin? The Team is led under the direction of Stacy Fulton. They will take the summer off and will resume their weekly practices in September.

Morgan Miller with her parents at Dale's
Also a slide presentation was shown of the recent graduates at the special dinner held in their honor at Dale's Restuarant in Florence and before the Sunday morning service recognizing their achievement.

Selfless Praise Band
Selfless Praise performs each Sunday evening at the Youth Worship Services. The band is made up of Chad Kennington, Jessica Maples, Grace Mills and Drew Mills.

YOUTH MINISTER - Jim Maples

Dr. Jim Maples, a dentist with a office in Florence, grew up at TFUMC. Jim and his wife, Mashea, have three children, Jessica, Lauren and Tanner who attend Tuscumbia city schools.

Jim felt a call to really lead the youth and experienced a heart for Jesus. We are excited to have Jim on our staff.
