TCS PRESCHOOL NEWS

It is amazing how the year goes by and the seasons change. The children have been watching the leaves change colors and then fall to the ground.

The leaves make a warm blanket for the earth. Every year God has planned the seasons and all their changes. The classes will be getting ready for Thanksgiving. They will have their own feast. There is really a lot to be thankful for everyday. November will also bring us Parent Teacher Conferences and Educators Conference in Sturbridge. Before we know it we will be preparing to celebrate the birth of Jesus. The Preschool and Kindergarten classes will join their wonderful voices in concert on Friday December18th at 6;00 pm with a snow date December 21st at 6:00pm. come and join us for a fun musical evening.
Have a Blessed and
Joyous Thanksgiving

REFLECTION

“the act of reflecting or the state of being reflected; an image; representation; counterpart; a fixing of the thoughts on something; careful consideration. (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/reflection)”

It was the day of the Middle School Retreat, September 3, 2009, following the noon meal. The assignment was for the students to spend some time reflecting about what they believed that God was doing in their lives as a result of the events they experienced during the retreat. The faculty was participating in this event as well.

As I began to reflect upon how I saw God moving, I was overwhelmed by His presence. The facility we were blessed to visit is located in the beauty of God’s creation nestled in the Adirondacks. As we exited the chapel on the prior evening, we were met with a remarkable scene. The reflection of an almost full moon was shimmering on the pond.

As I was contemplating the seamless faithfulness seen through His agenda, I was once again reminded of the wonder of my God. What I was seeing on the pond was not the moon, simply a reflection of the moon. The appearing of light on the moon is simply a reflection of the light that emanates from the sun. How poignant a lesson! Oh that I would be able to be used, like the moon or even the water to show the beautiful light of the Son to those around me. That would be reflection in the purest and most astonishing form.

I pray that I never take for granted my opportunity to reflect His light to students of TCS on a daily basis.

Don’t miss these opportunities to support TCS. The fellowship will be worth it!

October 1st – Tastefully Simply Party, 6:00 – If you have not experienced the wonderfully “simple” taste of the Tastefully Simply products, you won’t want to miss this party. Samples of treats will be available. Bring your friends and come join in on the fun. You don’t want to miss this time of fellowship. All proceeds will benefit the eighth grade field trip to Washington, D.C.

October 23rd – Pasta Dinner and Vendor Fair – Get started on your Christmas shopping early! There will be over a dozen family friendly vendors displaying their wares during the meal time on October 23rd. We will begin serving at 5:30, but the vendor tables will be open at 5:00. This will be a great change for the church and school community to come together for some food, fellowship, and fun; you won’t want to miss out!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Any healthy adult who could come in during the day from 10:30AM to 11:10AM during the week to volunteer in the first grade classroom.  Volunteers may assist  one day or more depending on their schedule.  All they need to be able to do is supervise a small group of children as they do hands-on activities.  There is no planning involved and I will give them clear and simple instructions.

Any interested individual should contact me via email at fbeaulieu.tcs@gmail.com.  Be sure to leave your phone number and I will contact you with further details.

I am taking volunteers beginning September 21st.  Thanks for your willingness to serve the Lord through the ministry of Trinity Christian School.

With gratitude,
Francie Beaulieu

You can help TCS with little effort in one of the following ways:

Ink Cartridges–TCS receives money for every used ink cartridge that we return.  Any type of computer ink cartridge can be turned into cash.  Please bring your used ink cartridges to either the preschool or elementary office during the week or visit the TCS table during coffee hour on Sunday. Idea:  Ask your boss or office manager if you can have the used ink cartridges at your place of employment, bring them to TCS and we’ll turn them into cash!  The earnings/proceeds from cartridges go to support the 8th grade Washington, D.C., trip.

Box Tops–Many grocery items contain a “Box Top for Education” logo.  TCS receives 10 cents for every box top that we submit.  Simply remove this piece from the box and bring it to the TCS office during the week or drop them off at the TCS table during the coffee hour on Sunday.

Campbell’s Soup Labels–Any grocery item that contains the “Campbell’s Labels for Education” on the UPC is collectable.  It’s not just soup anymore!  Again, these UPC labels can be brought to the TCS office during the week or drop them off at the TCS table during the coffee hour on Sunday.

Geissler’s Certificates–TCS receives 5% on the sale of these gift certificates.  Don’t go grocery shopping without them!  These can be purchased in the church office during the week or at the TCS table during coffee hour on Sunday.  They make great gifts too!

In addition to Ink Cartridges, Box Tops, Campbell’s Soup Labels, and shopping at Geissler’s with the gift cards, Trinity members and TCS parents can shop at Big Y and Price Chopper and earn points on specific items each week.  The points are then credited to TCS for educational tools.  Currently there are only 9 Trinity people registered at Big Y!  For your convenience, Big Y forms are available in the Narthex.  Just complete one and return it to the Customer Service Desk at Big Y the next time you go shopping there.

And, the next time you go to Price Chopper, stop at the Customer Service Desk and make sure the points you accrue are going to TCS.

Box Tops for Education

Do you know where those Box Tops for Education went that you placed in the box last month?  TCS made just over $950 on our biannual cash in date.  WOW!! That is a lot of money for just clipping a piece of a box!  The students of TCS are busy working on collecting Box Tops and competing by class to see who brings in the most every month.  So we are asking you to PLEASE, cut out those box tops and either give them to a TCS kid, or place them in the school or church office marked Box Tops for Education.  Thank you for all your support!
