Operation Christmas Child - It's hard to believe
that it's time to start collecting shoe boxes for Operation Christmas
Child. Boxes and literature are located on the stage. Last
year we collected 80 boxes. Let's try to make it 100 boxes this
year. The boxes will be dedicated on Sunday, November 16.
This will be the last Sunday for collecting them. |

After school Coffee House/ Study Hall Each
Tuesday we welcome any high school students to join us in the
youth building for fellowship and study time from 3:30-5 PM.
Volunteers are needed to help tutor. Donations are always welcome
to help cover the cost of school supplies and snacks. All A.L.
Brown seniors are required to complete a four-part research project
before graduation, which means their study time is especially
valuable. |

CCM needs for the month:
As
you can imagine, due to the economy, the demand has greatly
increased in the last few months. Any donation of food, paper
products or health and beauty supplies are appreciated. Currently
there are food pantries located at CCM in Concord, Bethel Baptist
Church in Kannapolis, Blackwelder Park Baptist Church and inside the
Dept. of Social Services building. Our food barrel is always
available, but if you wish to personally deliver to any of these
sites, call the church office for delivery times. Current needs
are: Canned soup (especially tomato and chicken noodle), canned
items: mixed vegetables, carrots, fruit, pork and beans, pinto
beans, as well as vienna sausage, breakfast items and toilet paper. |
