God wants His church to grow. To do this we must communicate his word through Christian contact. Christian contact can be as elaborate as organized local or global missions work. Or as simple as a friend offering testimony and inviting a guest to the weekend service.

Local Outreach team

Local outreach is a ministry of spreading the Gospel of Jesus to the local community through evangelism and missions

Christian contact

Prospect referrals: A form of evangelism where congregation members provide contact information of the unchurched for  visits from Lay leaders and the Pastor
New Neighbors: Offering invitations to new people in the community .
Guests: Follow up on information provided in registration cards from worship services
Absentees: Check up on people who seem to be dropping out of our church family

Greeters

A ministry of paying particular attention to the needs of guests in our church, doing things such as giving guests a tour of the church, introducing them to people of similar backgrounds, introducing them to Sunday School teachers, inviting them to fellowship events and then be a host, sit with them in the sanctuary and at the fellowship events.

Help Office

Trinity has a long tradition of helping local missions such as the help office. This ministry involves promoting the donation of canned goods and delivering the food to the help office each month.

Mary Kendall Home

Another vital local mission which involves liaising with the staff of the Mary Kendall Home and promoting their cause in out church. In particular this involves promoting fund raising events organized by the Mary Kendall Home, encouraging 5^th Sunday School offerings which are donated to this ministry, and also organizing fund raising events at Trinity.

Mitten Tree

Each Christmas a special mission is promoted for local charities. The congregation is encouraged to leave mittens, gloves and socks at a designated Christmas tree for distribution to local charities. This ministry involves the promotion of this ministry as well as the disbursement of the donated items.

Habitat for Humanity

External Revivals

If we are to seek out the unchurched of our community then we need to go out into the world and spread the word of God, by participating in community wide events such as JOY’98

Benevolence

Support the conference missions program by raising funds to fully fulfill our obligation to apportionments.

Thad & Jeannie McGinnis

Thad and Jeannie McGinnis are missionaries who are members of Trinity. This ministry should help and encourage Jeannie, Thad and their family in any way possible.

Shoebox ministries

The shoebox ministry is a ministry where empty shoeboxes are filled with hygiene products, school supplies and toys which are then shipped all over the world to disadvantaged children. This ministry involves the promotion and disbursement of this mission.

Mountain Missions

Each Quarter, the mountain missions truck stops at the church to pick up donated items for disbursement to needy people. This mission needs to be promoted.

We have many church family members who struggle from time to time. This ministry is an attempt to brighten their lives a little by giving them a token of our love and showing that we care .
