Congregational Care Team

"To encourage God’s family to nurture, gather and grow."

Once Christian contact has been established, and they have entered the church. People will need to belong. They will want to develop friendships with other people like them.

We need to nurture them, showing that we care about their needs, which may be spiritual, emotional, mental or physical. We must show that we understand how difficult it is to enter a strange place full of strange people and that we are willing to go the extra mile to embrace and welcome them.

People will not care how much you know, until they know how much you care.

We must also continue to look after the people who are established members. We must ensure that everyone knows that they are being prayed for, that they are missed when absent, that there is someone they can turn to and confide in when the going gets tough. We must care for and watch each other to see if we are drifting away from our commitments to Christ.
