Lenten Services Schedule
Lent sneaks up on us this year. The season will begin on February 6th with Ash Wednesday Service of Ashes at 7:00 that evening. We will be going it alone this year. I realize that we have been doing the pulpit exchange with First Church, but we will be taking a different route this year.
We will be engaged, challenged, and enriched through a work of Sarah Parsons entitled "A Clearing Season." The six week study will run us right up to Holy Week. The author points us to the possibilities of creating an openness to giving and receiving God's love.
Classes will be on Thursday evenings, beginning on February 7 and will end after Maundy Thursday communion on March 20th.
Consider Lent. It is a serous season of getting ready to celebrate the most Holy Day of the Church Year, Easter.
This study, offers a way to keep a Holy Lent through individual activities, reflection questions, and group sessions. You will engage in deeply personal self-examination and life-renewing change.
I need that kind of opportunity. I'm not the only one. Faithfulness takes work all year long. Lent gives us an opportunity to take ourselves on a truthful, spirit filled journey.
I pray that you will take advantage of this opportunity, not limited to Trinity members, to participate in this study designed for your spiritual growth and discernment.
In the Faith,
Pastor Rick
On Ash Wednesday, February 6, Trinity Imposition of Ashes. The service will be at 7 pm.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
Out of a love for knitting and crocheting and a desire to provide a tangible evidence of prayer, the prayer shawl ministry was started. It is a way to show those who are homebound, those who are facing serious illness, or those who are in nursing homes that we care about them and are praying for them. We have delivered 3 shawls and have completed another 6 that are ready to be delivered. If you would like to help make shawls, we invite you to join us on the first Thursday of the month. On February 7 we will be meeting at Wanda Munro's home. If knitting or crocheting isn't your thing, you can still be a part of the ministry by donating money for the purchase of yarn. Also if you know of someone in need of a prayer shawl, please let us know.
