We believe that God calls all persons to be followers of Jesus Christ. As United Methodists, we vow to support the church with our prayers, our presence, our tithes, our offerings, and our gifts.
As people called by God, we offer ourselves in service in various ways. We believe that God does call some persons to special forms of service and ministry in word,order,and sacrament; in music and preaching; in service and mission. On this page are listed some of the people who serve the church in special ways of dedication.
Lay members serve as officers of the church, on missions, and as lay speakers. If you feel called by God to enter training as a United Methodist Lay Speaker, the Columbus District of the South Indiana annual conference offers one-day training sessions twice a year.
