Trinity United Methodist Church of Alexandria, Louisiana Church Activities

Sunday School 9:30 am   Wesley-Holloman Class This class is for both men and women.  It meets in the church library and it uses the United Methodist Adult Bible Study Curriculum.  Elouise Gaddis is the teacher.  Bykota Class This class is for women.  It meets in the room next door to the church library.  The class is group lead and uses the United Methodist Adult Bible Study Curriculum. Faith Into Life This Class in for women and men.  It meets in the church parlor and uses the Serendipity Small Group Bible Study Method.  The Children's Class This group is for our children.  In this class your child will learn about Jesus, the Bible, and what it means to be a part of a church. Peggy Trimble is the teacher. The Nursery We offer child care for all our activities in a loving and caring space.  The Chancel Choir This adult choir helps to lead our weekly worship service.  Practicing each Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. for an hour; this group prepares a weekly anthem and an annual Christmas Cantata.  New Singers are always welcomed Prayer Meeting This mid week gathering on Wednesday night is at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary.  This group shares prayer concerns, reads Scripture and offers prayers as individual and a community. Bible Study     United Methodist Men  This men's group meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. for a Potluck Supper and a program.  This is an opportunity for the men to get together for spiritual growth, missional outreach and fellowship.  Ray Durbin is the President. United Methodist Women This women's group meets as an entire unit on the first Tuesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in the church parlor.  In addition to these general meetings our unit has three circles that also meet monthly.  The purpose of the UMW is to plan mission projects, provide a space for Spiritual Growth, Christian Education and fellowship.  Elouise Gaddis is the president.  The Wesley Circle This circle of the UMW meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in members homes.  Call the church office for the location of the next meeting.  Peggy Brodnax is the circle leader.  The Lufcy Circle This circle of the UMW meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 2:30 p.m in members homes.  Call the church office for the location of the next meeting.  Yvonne Tumminello is the circle leader.   The  Esther Circle This circle of the UMW meets on the third Friday of the month at 6:30 p.m in the church parlor.  This circle does not meet during the summer so call the church office for the next meeting date.
