UMW Emblem United Methodist Women is a group of women within the congregation organized for mission. United Methodist Women have participated in mission world-wide for over 100 years.     SPECIAL RECOGNITION PINS. Special recognition pins are given yearly to deserving United Methodist Women for outstanding service to the unit. 2003's recipients were: incoming president Charlene Guynes-Joy Circle-President's Pin, Sandy Hardt-Joy Circle, Sharon Souvenir-Joy Circle, Anna Carter-Lisa Mapes Hargrove Circle, Judi Hergert-Hope Circle, Kim Williams-Faith Circle, Mary Grimes-Wesleyan Circle, Carolyn Gandy-Dove Circle, and outgoing president Joanne Hubbard-Dove Circle.

    GOLDEN GIRLS. Several members of Trinity's unit of United Methodist Women have been members for 50 or more years are received plaques at our annual Christmas dinner in December of 2003: Marie Buist, Marion Deuel, Mary Hendrix, and Virginia Walker.

    MISSION MARKETPLACE. Trinity's unit of United Methodist Women will be hosting a Marketplace for Missions on March 12-13, where individuals selling crafts, jewelry, clothing, or products from home-based businesses will have booths at the church. All proceeds will go to local missions: St. Paul United Methodist Church's "Caroline's Cupboard" food panty, Huntsville Childcare Center, and the Sapp Center women's and children's shelter at the Downtown Rescue Mission.     COMFORT CLOTHS. In this new UMW project, hand-sewn mini-quilts will be given to survivors at our annual March memorial service.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY. United Methodist Women is celebrating its 135th birthday in 2004!
