The Reverend Doctor Russell Walter Streeper. Dr. Streeper and his wife Diana have been married for 47 years. They have one daughter and three grandchildren. He was an eight year veteran serving in the Air Force with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He received his license to preach while serving in the Air force in Germany in 1965 through the Detroit conference. Dr. Streeper was ordained in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of The United Methodist Church, Deacon in 1970 and Elder in 1973. He has served the following churches: Johnson Memorial [Associate] in Philadelphia; Grace Champlost - Philadelphia; Kochenderfer's - Lebanon, Pa.; Epworth - Bethlehem, Pa.; Retired in 2005 and is serving in Trinity - Denver, Pa. as interim. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Temple University in 1969; Master of Divinity 1972 and Doctor of Ministry 1984 from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was President of the EBTS Class of 1972. Dr. Streeper served the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference as a member of The Board of Directors Inter-Church Child Care Society in Philadelphia; a member of the Conference Health and Welfare Committee; Commission on Camps and Conferences; Pocono Plateau Site Committee and Director of Children's Camp for 13 years; Board of Pensions & Health Benefits; Member of the Insurance Committee; and Conference Board of Trustees. He was active in the communities where he served as president of the Olney Ministerium - Philadelphia; President of the Allentown District Ministerium; Associate Chaplain at St. Luke's Trauma Center in Bethlehem, Pa. where he was also a member of their Professional Consultation Committee; served as a member of the Ecumenical Committee on Continuing Education at Moravian Theological Seminary in Bethlehem; and a member for UM Ministerial Candidates. He received the Legion of Honor for his community Service from the Chapel of the Four Chaplains in Philadelphia. |
