It is the four Mission Cordinators working together who help to bring about the

"FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT THROUGH LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS,
GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS, SELF-CONTROL;
AGAINST SUCH THERE IS NO OTHER LAW."

(Galations 5:22)

The specific responsibilities of each Mission Coordinator are as follows:

CHRISTIAN GLOBAL CONCERNS

• Interpreting the work and mission of the General Board of Global Ministries.


• Promotion of and active participation in the church's mission.


• Encourage awareness of the United Methodist Church's personnel in mission, their work and their changing roles.


• Encourage awareness of the church's relationship to people throughout the world.

CHRISTIAN PERSONHOOD

• Encourages the group to incorporate Bible Study and prayer.


• Promote the Spiritual Growth studies and Reading programs.


• Gives guidance on the theology of the church.

CHRISTIAN SOCIAL INVOLVEMENT

• Help the unit or mission team set issue priorities.


• Education and action of issues through interpreting the position of the United Methodist Church.


• Promotion and concentration on legislative training.


• Monitoring the implementation of the new Charter for Racial Justice Policies.

SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY

• Develop techniques in group dynamics and team building.


• Look for opportunities to be supportive of women.


• Build coalitions with various ecumenical and community groups.
