Claudia Myers
Claudia is our Director. She has been with the Playschool since it opened twenty-five years ago. In the afternoon she tutors elementary children in reading and math. She also works with Senior High home school students. She has two children, Heather age 29, and Matthew age 27. She is thrilled that her daughter in law, Crystal is now part of the playschool staff. Claudia is the proud grandmother of Ty who is in the younger two playschool class. Claudia and her family are members of Trinity, where she works with Middle School children. She enjoys swimming and traveling.

Andrea Tarleton
Andrea is starting her fourth year here at the Playschool. Andrea and her husband, Jason, have two children. Catherine is 9 and starting 3rd grade at Statesville Rd. Elementary, and Brandon is 6 and will be also at Statesville Rd. Elementary in 1st grade. Andrea is a hometown girl who has lived in North Carolina all her life. In her spare time, Andrea enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

Ashley Messer
Ashley is starting her first full year here at Trinity and will be teaching in the young two class. She and her husband Ronnie have 2 boys. Chase who is 7 years old and Ethan who is 4 years old. They attend Hopewell Baptist Church in Davidson. In her spare time she enjoys being with family, going to the beach and working in the yard.

Cheri Sisk
Cheri will be starting her second full year here at Trinity. She and her husband, Robert, moved to the area about four years ago from Hendersonville, NC. They have two daughters who have both attended the playschool. Sarah is 5 and is now starting Kindergarten and Hannah is 4 and is in the four year old program. Cheri stays very active with a local stay at home mothers group, The MOMS Club of Lake Norman, where she has served as a Vice President. She is also a part time nanny. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, reading and spending time with her family.

Cindy Bethea
Cindy will be starting her first year at Trinity Playschool. She is very excited and eager to teach in the one year old class. Cindy and her husband, Richard, have two children. Alexandra who is 4 and Thomas who is 3. Before her children were born Cindy taught first grade for 4 years and fifth grade for one year.

Crystal Figaro
Crystal has been at Trinity since January of 2005. She started as an assistant in the two year old classroom, then taught three year olds during the summer, and she is very excited to teach in the one year old classroom for the 2005-06 school year. In addition to teaching this year, she will also help out in the playschool office on Mondays & Tuesdays. She is the proud mother of a two year old named Tyler that attends playschool. Crystal graduated from UNC-Charlotte in 2000 and went to work for UPS as a customer service supervisor. She left UPS in 2003 to be a stay at home mom. She has enjoyed teaching at Trinity and is looking forward to teaching many more years!

Debbie Yandle
Debbie has taught in our three year old department for thirteen years. She also taught the one year olds for one year. This year will be her second year teaching the four year olds. This will be her fifthteenth year at Trinity, and was with Christ UMC Preschool for four years. She has also worked with children in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System, in day care, After school Programs and at her church. Debbie has been married to her husband, Billy, for 36 years. They have three children; Sandi - 34, Amy - 32, and Cody - 22. She also has two grandchildren; Holland - 12 and Abbie - 8 years. Debbie enjoys being a grandmother and is very proud of her children’s accomplishments. She attends Sunset Baptist Church.

Jennifer Harrison
Jennifer is beginning her seventh year at the playschool. She is the Financial Controller for the Playschool. Jennifer and her husband Scott have two children, Kyle who is in 5th grade and Kali, who is a 7th grade at Lake Norman Charter. Jennifer and her family are members of Trinity where she is the Sunday School teacher for 4 and 5 year olds.

Kim McCord
Kim is starting her second year at Trinity. Kim and her husband, Randy, have been married for nine years and have two daughters. Miranda is in the third grade and Kassidy is in 1st grade and are both at Long Creek Elementary. Kim had been a stay at home mom with an in home day care. Kim enjoys reading, working in her garden and sports with her kids.

Kim Miller
Kim is starting her second year at Trinity with the two year olds. Kim and her husband, Jeff, have two children. Their daughter Brittany is in the 3rd grade and their son Jacob is in Kindergarten at Mountain Island Elementary. Kim and her family are active members of Ascension Lutheran Church where she is involved in Sunday School and Children’s Church. Kim enjoys camping, reading, spending time with her family and volunteering at her children’s school.

Odetti Harwood
Odetti has been with Trinity Playschool for four years and has just returned from taking last year off for materinty leave. She will be teaching in the One Year Class. Odetti, who originally comes to us from Peru, and her husband Todd have three wonderful children. Soraya is 8 years old and is in the 3rd grade at Long Creek Elementary. William is 6 years old and is in the 1st grade at Long Creek Elementary. Both children have graduated from Trinty Playschool. Isabella is 1 year old and is going to be in the one year old class.

Renuka Kaul
Renuka is starting her second year at Trinity. She will be teaching the young two year olds. Renuka had moved to Charlotte about one and half years ago from Miami, FL. Renuka and her husband Ashulosh have a 5 year old son, Siddharth, who is a 2005 Playschool Graduate and loved every minute of it. Renuka grew up in a large family with lots of hustle and bustle around her and that’s why she loves to be around children..

Shae Gruger
Shae is starting her third year as a teacher with the two year old class. Shae worked in the one year old class with Pam Hood. Shae and her husband, Alan, have two children. Breyenna is beginning 1st grade at Back Creek Christian Academy and is a 2004 Playschool graduate. Adam is in the two year old class. Shae and her family attend Trinity UMC. She has lived in Charlotte all her life. In her spare time, Shae enjoys doing arts and crafts and spending time with her family.

Susan Kidd
Susan teaches in the four year old department. Susan has been with the program for twenty two years. She and her husband, Jim, have two grown children and one grandchild on the way. Mary is 28 and is married and is teaching at a Montessori School. Andrew is 25 and is married. He works in landscaping and grading. Susan and her family are very active with her church, Hopewell Presbyterian. She and Jim enjoy going to the movies and traveling. They can’t wait for their grandchild!.

Terri Bednasek
Terri is joining us for her sixth year at Trinity. Terri has taught every age group at Trinity. This year she will be our multi age teacher and will be in your child’s classroom if the teacher is sick or out of town. Terri and her husband, Shawn, moved to Charlotte in 1997. They have two children, Peyton and Parker. Peyton is 13 and she is in the 8th grade at Bradley Middle School. Parker is 9 and he is in the 4th grade at Long Creek Elementary and is also a 2001 Playschool graduate.

Valerie Garman
Valerie is starting her second full year here at Playschool as Claudia’s Assistant. She will be in the Playschool office on Wedneydays, Thursdays and Fridays. Valerie and her husband, Sid, moved to Charlotte in 1998. They both grew up in Lancaster, PA (Amish country) and have two children, a son and a daughter. Sid (the 3rd) is 9 and is in the 4th grade at Long Creek Elementary and is a 2001 Playschool graduate. Ashley is 6 and is in 1st grade at Long Creek Elementary and is also a 2004 Playschool graduate. Valerie is an active member here at Trinity.
