The responsibility of the Outreach Committee is to bring to the attention of the
congregation some of the many ways our church can reach out to others, in our
community, our nation, and the world with our gifts, our services, and our prayers,
as we attempt to follow the instructions of Jesus when he said (Mathew 25:40) Many projects fall under this committee's umbrella but are carried out by various Sunday School classes and committees. Some of the projects that fall into this category are:
Our Outreach bulletin board is located in the main hall directly across from the sanctuary side door. Posted here you will find many opportunities for giving, thank you letters for what has been given and sign-up sheets for needed volunteers for up coming mission projects. It boils down to doing our best to help those less fortunate than ourselves, to inform those who have never heard about the love of Jesus Christ, and to try to live as He would have us live. Each year, one month is designated as Missions Month with each week giving emphisis on a special mission project. These projects includ:
Trinity participates in the six special Sundays designated as "Church-wide Special Sundays", set up by the conference, that provide for offerings which express our commitment to giving. Each day has a history, when and how it started and we are told how the offering should be used. The special Sundays are:
Three or four times throughout the year, we try to hold a covered dish supper with speakers from various local, national, and global organizations. Some of our most recent speakers were from
