Three Rivers First United Methodist Church
Nursery Information

It is our goal to provide the best care that we possibly can to each child attending our Nursery.

Our Nursery is available for Sunday School and Worship services for newborn children through age three.  Call the Church Office (361.786.3217) for baby-sitting during special Church events.

During the 9:30 AM Sunday School, we will have nursery for newborns through six months.   Early Christian Awareness Sunday School is also available newborns through three years.  A Pre-Kinder class is available for children over the age of three.

All children should be registered at the Nursery when they arrive.  On the register, please fill in your location in the Church (should your child need you) and the name of the person who will be picking up your child (i.e., either you or a designated adult).

Please label diaper bags and other supplies specifically for you child when leaving them in the Nursery.  Also, please bring extra diapers.  Inform the Nursery caregivers of all special information such as nap times, meal times, food allergies and bathroom habits so your child can be made as comfortable as possible.

The infant area is designed for newborns through one year.  Cribs and rocking chairs are available.  Crib linens are sanitized following each use and the toys are sanitized regularly.

The toddler area is designed for children one year through three years.  It has a play area, small toys to manipulate and large toys to push and/or pull.  Toys and equipment are checked regularly for safety and are sanitized regularly.

For the protection of all children in the Nursery, please do not bring children with fever, diarrhea or any other apparent illness.  If a child appears to be ill, as judged by the caregivers, they may be refused in the Nursery.

Our Nursery is staffed by paid caregivers and is overseen by our Nursery Coordinator.   Volunteers complete the Nursery staff and are an important addition to our Nursery program.
