Three Rivers First United Methodist Church

Children's Church

A special worship time and place has been designed for children between the ages of 2 years old and Kindergarten age.   We follow the book "Young Children and Worship" by Sonja M. Stewart and Jerome W. Berryman.  This program is no a substitute for Sunday School or Children's Sermon, but a tool to take the information the children have learned in both and allow them to apply it in worship at their level.  It's an exciting way these children experience God while learning about God.  It involves helping children worship in a special place apart from the worshiping congregation so they become able to worship meaningfully with the congregation.

Children's Church begins after the Children's Sermon during the 10:45 AM worship service.  The children are escorted to the worship area by adults, where they will also assemble in God's name, proclaim God's Word, give thanks to God and go in God's name.

Bookshelves are needed for Children's Church.  If you can help, please call the church office.
