PURPOSE:

The purpose of this policy is to set forth First United Methodist Church of Three Rivers, Inc. (FUMCTR) Camp Scholarship Policy guidelines.

SCOPE:

The policy shall apply to youth attending church sponsored camps.

ANNUAL REVIEW & ADOPTION:

The Christian Education Committee will review and adopt this policy at least annually. Changes to this policy must be approved by the FUMCTR Christian Education Committee.

SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must have attended FUMCTR Sunday School at least 75% of the time during the previous 12 months from date of camp application.

2. Must attend FUMCTR Worship Services at least 75% of the time the previous 12 months from date of camp application.

3. For campers who have not attended FUMCTR for one full year, the Camp Scholarship Committee will contact the churches previously attended to determine eligibility.

 

SCHOLARSHIP PAYMENT:

1. Upon approval by pastor under said guidelines, the pastor may approve the camp scholarship and the Church Treasurer shall pay 50% of the cost of the camp directly to the camp up to $75.00.

2. Eligible campers shall receive only one FUMCTR Camp Scholarship per year.
