HAMPTON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

400 Second Avenue
Hampton, IL

10:30 A.M. - WORSHIP SERVICE
9:00 A.M. - SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN

PASTOR - JOHN CREDE

Our church is much more than just a building. It is the people -a warm, loving, and very giving congregation.

The congregation of the Hampton United Methodist Church has been active along the Mississippi River since the 1820's. The present church building was completed in 1878. This church, though small, has an important place in the community every day of the week, not just on Sundays. The city council has used the building for luncheons and the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts both have groups that meet here regularly. The church also works closely with the school. It serves as a shelter should the school need to be evacuated. The members also provide hats, mittens, and other articles of clothing for those students who are in need of them. The adult Sunday School class collects grocery items each week to support the local food pantry. When our congregation hears of a need, we respond.

CHICKEN NOODLE DINNER AT HAMPTON

  • Please join us at the Hampton Church in throwing some flour and eggs around to make our homemade noodles for our Chicken Noodle Dinner on October 10.

  • Thursday, September 10 at 5:30p.m. and Thursday, September 24 at 5:30p.m.

  • Just ask anyone. We have a great time! The fellowship tables will be full of drying noodles. It takes four sessions to make enough noodles for the dinner and some to sell. (You don't want to wear dark clothing or jewelry!)
