Transformation Project Prison Ministry (TPPM) |
||||
![]() Bringing transformation through the love of Jesus.Transformation Project Prison Ministry brings transformation to the hearts and lives of the incarcerated through the love and power of Christ. We accomplish this using the talents of the “Maximum Saints,” inmates who are spiritual leaders among the population of Adams County Detention Facility of Colorado. The Maximum Saints use their gifts to the maximum to serve the Lord by encouraging their brothers and sisters, leading Bible studies, praying, giving sermons, writing, and making art. The Holy Spirit is at work in the prisons, and these Maximum Saints are Christ's missionaries. The Maximum Saints' testimonies and art have been collected in a series of books and DVDs. The Transformation Project supplies these books to jails, prisons, halfway houses, community corrections, and to homeless shelters which house former prisoners. Not only are they being distributed in Colorado, but in other states as well. Six books have been published, three were written by inmates: Maximum Saints Never Hide in the Dark, Maximum Saints Make No Little Plans, Maximum Saints Dream, and Maximum Saints Forgive. And two books were written by Chaplain Yong Hui McDonald: Journey with Jesus and Dancing in the Sky The DVDs are titled Maximum Saints: Eyes of Blazing Fire and Maximum Saints Walk into the Light. They contain video testimony from the Maximum Saints. "Before I came in to Chaplain's Worship Service, I made a phone call to my wife. She told me that she and I were losing all of our things. I felt anger and wanted to hurt someone, then they called 'church' and I went. Chaplain McDonald played the DVD documentary, Maximum Saints Eyes of Blazing Fire. As I was watching, I was touched by the stories and I was in tears. Amazingly, tears cleansed all my hate and anger. Moreover, God changed my mind that I had no desire to hurt anyone. That was one of the most powerful experience I've had in my life. This documentary touched me more than when I got stabbed 12 times (7 times in the head and 5 times in the body). The Lord picked me up and told me that it wasn't my time and I had to go back. The testimonies from the Maximum Saints books encouraged me greatly, then after watching the Maximum Saints DVD, I realized that material things mean nothing. I knew then, giving everything to God was what I needed to do, so I turned everything over to the Lord." -- William C. Hellhake, an inmate at Adams County Detention Facility |
