POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Youth Coordinator

Grace United Methodist Church, Topeka, KS is accepting applications for a part-time Youth Coordinator. Work schedule is approximately 8-12 hours per week. Applicants may be required to submit to a background check prior to employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Youth Coordinator position is responsible for coordinating the Junior and Senior High youth programs of the church. This involves organizing, promoting and carrying out activities designed to develop the spiritual, mental, social, and physical dimensions of the young person’s life. This should be accomplished in unison with the volunteer adult sponsors and in cooperation with the Christian Education Coordinator and Pastor. QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Applicant should have basic knowledge of the United Methodist Church and be comfortable communicating its basic principles.
High School diploma or GED equivalent, two years of church related work or two years of additional education.

Preferred:

Previous participation in a youth group as a teen.
