In its fall retreat, the Topeka District
Council on Ministries determined that it could better serve the churches
of the District by focusing its efforts on resourcing local churches.
In essence, we want to build a BRIDGE:
Build
relationships
Re-connect
with local churches and their members
Inspire
them to go beyond their doors
Disciples
-- creating and guiding
Grow
spiritually
Educate
leaders and members
Three emphases were identified; worship,
evangelism, and local church training for committees, boards, and work
areas. These areas will be addressed in a variety
of ways, including district cluster
groups.
