registration for the annual Spiritual Life Retreat at Beersheba!
Spaces go quickly, so register today. The deadline is August 15,
but the Retreat is often full by August 1st. Dates for the
Retreat are September 11-13, 2009.
Consider
attending Assembly 2010! This quadrennial event is close by in
St. Louis next year April 30 - May 2, 2010. The event represents
one of the largest and most diverse groups of women of faith from the
largest denominational faith organization for women, United Methodist
Women!
District Annual Meetings are coming up faster than we know it, check
the Call and your district newsletter for the dates and place for your
district.
2009
begins a new quadrennium, and with that comes a new handbook, and a few
changes by Women's Division. The Mission Today criteria for 2009-2012
has been expanded to include 18 items. The conference will be following
the new criteria as adopted by Women's Division. Below are links to the

programming for the new year.

One
of the new criteria (#17) for Mission Today for 2009-2012 is to
make a pledge to care for God's creation and become a "green" UMW
unit.
Below is a copy of the First Steps to Becoming a Green Unit, as
recommended by Women's Division. Refer questions to the conference
mission coordinator for social action.
