The Tri-Conference Legislative Event
March 10-11 has been cancelled. Make plans to go to Sager-Brown
in Baldwin, LA May 31 - June 5. See the newsletter for details.
Each
unit secretary should send the list of all officers
and circle
leaders for 2009 to the district secretary by November or as soon
as they have their election of officers. The Local Unit
Officer Form is
currently on the side bar. (This form is different from the membership
counting form which will not be due until January - See new membership counting form under
Reporting Forms).
The new Conference Accepted Policies were adopted at the Annual
Conference, and can be downloaded from the menu at the left.
There are also new forms for reporting available by clicking on the
Reporting Forms link.
2009
begins a new quadrennium, and with that comes a new handbook, and a few
changes by Women's Division. The Mission Today criteria for 2009-2012
has been expanded to include 18 items. The conference will be following
the new criteria as adopted by Women's Division. Below are links to the
new criteria to help you plan
programming for the new year.

One
of the new criteria (#17) for Mission Today for 2009-2012 is to
make a pledge to care for God's creation and become a "green" UMW
unit.
Below is a copy of the First Steps to Becoming a Green Unit, as
recommended by Women's Division. Refer questions to the conference
mission coordinator for social action.
