                 MISSIONS FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER

              UNITED METHODIST STUDENT DAY

                            AND

                     HUNGER MEAL

 There will be a ”hunger meal” lunch  on Sunday, November 15.  Proceeds from that meal will go to the hunger meal fund.

Special offering envelopes will be in the bulletin for United Methodist Student Day on November 29.  If you wish to donate

before that time you may use the pew envelopes.

 

                  BENEFIT AUCTION AND CHILI FEED

   Friday, November 13 at Baden Square in Winfield Chili and Soup Feed 5:00 p.m. – Auction a 7:00 p.m.

 Tickets = $6.00 for Chili or Soup, dessert, coffee or tea. A mission project of Grandview United Methodist Church

100% of the proceeds go to children’s orphanages in Les Cayes, Haiti.

 

    HUNGER MEAL – A UNITED METHODIST MISSION

                   NEXT SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15

Meat and broth will be provided.  Each family should bring vegetables to add to the soup.   See how good things can

happen when people work together, sharing what they have.  Proceeds will go to missions.

THE MEAL WILL BE FOLLOWED BY ADMINISTRATIVE

 COUNCIL.

 

           GYM WORK DAY

The next work day on the gym will be next  Saturday, November 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.   Lunch

will be provided at noon.  We will be working on floor joists for the upper level and possibly the

stairway.  Bring tools if you have them.

 

                          THANKSGIVING MEAL

Soroptimist International of Winfield, Kansas announces their 25th annual community meal for couples and singles

who find themselves alone on Thanksgiving Day.

                       ADVENT DEVOTION BOOKLET

The Nurture Committee would like to distribute an Advent Devotion Booklet much like we did last year with congregation

members providing articles.  We received so many comments about last year’s booklets.  WE NEED YOU!  The more articles

we receive from more people, the better booklet we will have DESIRED DEADLINE:  November 15.

SUNFLOWER PARISH “CHRISTMAS ANGEL” PROGRAM

It is time to get the Christmas Angel Program started for this year.  Sign-up sheets are available for any families that may

need assistance with Christmas gifts for their children (birth to sixteen years of age. If you need this assistance, please see Rev.

Graver as soon as possible.  The deadline for getting these turned in is November 22.
