STEPHEN MINISTRY

If you long to grow spiritually and make a difference in someone's life, consider becoming a Stephen Minister here at Tempe First. Stephen Ministers are God's representatives trained to work alongside our pastors to meet regularly with their care-receivers and to bring Christian love and spiritual support.

This ministry is a place where you an use your gifts of caring, encouragement and listening to reach out to hurting people. Training sessions are starting soon. Find out more about the program by contacting Stephen Ministry leaders, Cris bass or Kim Summers through the church office  480-967-3376

A new ministry for folks in our church family who need occasional help with basic home maintenance and landscaping chores will get going soon, but first we need to hear from you. We're looking for men, women and youth who want to help and are willing to serve. Please contact Church & Society Committee co-chair, Amanda Russell, 602-349-6452, and let her know your interests, skills and availability.

Our Church & Society team sponsors many outreach ministries for community needs outside the Tempe First church family. These include food drives, Angel Tree gifts, I-HELP meals, Mexico mission and aid to shelters. The team thanks everyone for contributions of money, gifts, food and time given to these ministries.
