Living the Sacred – Theme logo by Billie Crockett, FUMC Beaumont, Southeast District “Living the Sacred” refers to the Native American belief that all life and nature are connected…a view of man living in harmony with the sacred land and all things in it. Here, a circle represents the earth, shown with elements of nature and a dove of peace organized with American Indian symbols. (Winner of the South Central Jurisdiction Regional School) |

The Dream Catcher – by Nancy Price, President of Central North District, Friendship UMC, Porter In the Native American tradition, the dream catcher is designed to catch the bad dreams in its web. The good things flow through the center. We honor Jesus, the Way, the Center of our lives, when we love and take care of our fellow mankind and the earth we all share. Jesus said, “When you do it to the least of these, you do it to me.” Matthew 25:35-40. When we live as Jesus would have us live, then we are “Living the Sacred”. |
