Dear friends in Christ,
As I begin my third year with the Tabernacle Charge, I give thanks for all the blessings I have been afforded during my tenure here. I have stored so many memories that I can ponder; they are truly precious gifts.
Remember the spaghetti supper the youth hosted in January of 2000. Who could have guessed so many people would be willing to brave a raging snow storm to eat--you know where people's priorities are. Or the visit from the Scandinavian Caravan--who knew you could bond with people so quickly. The joint 5th Sunday services have all been fodder for warm remembrances of God's people at their best. We've been involved in several mission projects: Project AGAPE, Hurricane Floyd flood relief, Christmas Shoe Boxes, assistance within our community, district and conference. Of course I cannot speak of missions without calling to mind the youth mission trip to KY in the "blue cheese".
When you get down to it, the stories that we remember, share and treasure are the threads that weave the fabric of our lives. I give thanks for all of the brightly colored threads you have shared and given to me.
Here are some pictures from this year's Annual Conference where I was ordained a Full-Connection Elder:
