Tabernacle Church was formally established. It was called the Methodist Episcopal Church, and changed to Tabernacle Methodist
Episcopal a few years later.

|
The church was sold and another building was constructed.

1883
|
Church building was destroyed by fire.

August 24, 1884
|
On the present site, a new church building was dedicated. Cost $2000

1902
|
Tabernacle and Trinity become theEast York Circuit.

1912
|
An addition was added to the church building.
|

1927
|
Another additon was added to the church building
|
|
1950
|
Tabernacle became a station church with its own full time pastor.

1956
|
Built a separate education building.

June 14, 1972
|
Tabernacle's fourth and present building was dedicated which brought
all educational, office and worship facilities under a single roof.

November 12, 1991
|
A new education wing was consecrated.

September 18, 2003
|
Hurricane Isabel struck the church causing massive
flooding and damage to the sanctuary, the chaqpel,
music rooms, some classrooms and the offices.

February 27, 2005
|
Groundbreaking ceremony for building project.

February 28, 2005
|
Construction starts on Fellowship Hall and kitchen.
|

November 20, 2005
|
New kitchen and Social Hall dedicated.
